The xx are back in the studio. The British indie band recently confirmed that they are working on new music and it looks like fans can expect some fresh tracks real soon.

The band made the announcement via Instagram post in which they wrote: “Looking forward to 2020! We’ve all been working on new music, can’t wait to share it with you!”

The xx released their most recent album, I See You, back in 2017. The record was a massive success, earning critical acclaim and making its way to numerous Best Albums of the Year lists. It also reached No.1 on UK charts, their second number one album in the country, while peaking at No.2 on US Billboard 200 charts.

Following the release of the album, the band spent much of their time touring and collaborating with other artists. Guitarist and vocalist Romy Madley Croft made his contributions to Silk City and Dua Lipa’s collab “Electricity,” while also co-writing Benny Blanco’s “More/Diamond Ring.” Band’s producer and beatmaker Jamie xx, on the other hand, produced Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus duet “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” while helping Florence + The Machine pen “Big God.”
