The Weeknd has been teasing the release of his fifth studio album for quite some time, and it turns out this record is coming our way sooner than later. The R&B superstar kicked 2022 on a high note and announced his new LP titled Dawn FM will hit the shelves this week.

The Weekend has been hinting he’s working on a new project The Dawn for months but failed to share any details about his upcoming album—until now. Dawn FM is hitting the shelves on January 7, and “Take My Breath” is the only song we got to hear so far.

A day before announcing the official release date of Dawn FM, The Weeknd hinted he’s getting ready to drop it by sharing a text conversation with his creative director La Mar Taylor.

“Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people…” wrote The Weeknd.

Dawn FM will feature collaborations with Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey. Following its release, The Weeknd is expected to embark on After Hours til Dawn concert tour, set to support both his fourth and fifth studio album after several delays caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
