The National just announced they will perform a series of “special evenings” in five major cities around the world. The first of these “special evenings” will take place in Paris on April 16th, after which the band will visit London, New York, Toronto, before wrapping up the trip in Los Angeles on April 26th.

While The National didn’t reveal much info about these events, titled “A Special Evening With the National,” it is expected they will give the fans an opportunity to see American rockers playing in a more intimate atmosphere.

During this trip, The National may also present some new music. The band reportedly finished their new album, and is expected to present it in 2019. The news about the record surfaced when management company Worlds End confirmed that producer Peter Katis, band’s longtime collaborator, finished mixing The National’s upcoming album.

The band’s last studio effort came in 2017, when they presented critically acclaimed Sleep Well Beast. The record topped the charts in UK and several other countries while peaking at No.2 on US Billboard 200. It also received several accolades including the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
