Who says that live album releases are not popular anymore? In past couple of years, we have seen fewer musicians deciding to produce a live LP, but The National decided to take the opposite strategy. After releasing their fourth live album, Boxer (Live in Brussels), as a Record Store Day 2018 exclusive vinyl LP back in April, the band is now making the album available on digital platforms and CD on July 13th.

The National also released the live rendition of “Fake Empire,” which will be featured on the album. You can listen to it below.

Boxer (Live in Brussels) was recorded in Belgium’s capital on November 9th, 2017, and saw the band playing their 2007 release Boxer in full.

The National released their most recent studio album, Sleep Well Beast, in September 2017. The album was an absolute hit with the critics and also managed to win a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 60th Grammy Awards. It topped the charts in several countries, including the UK, while reaching number 2 on the US Billboard 200.
