The Los Angeles rock band has finally announced the date of their new album – it will be on the 30th of August this year. They flashed the date 30th of August on the big screen at their show in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday night.

Not long after that, they released a video on their official Twitter account with the exact date and a sound teaser for the album. Maynard James Keenan asked their fans to share the information about the album and the video on other social media.

Two of the songs that will be on the album, “Descending” and “Invincible” are already well-known to the fans as they have played them on their live shows. The band has played “Descending” and an instrumental version of the same since 2014.

At the moment, Tool is performing their North America tour, which will wrap up on May 19th in Bridgeview, Illinois. It was in this tour that they introduced “Invincible” to the crowd and they received very positive feedback for it.

The fans are more than excited that Tool will finally release a new album after having to enjoy their last album “10,000 Days” which was released in 2006. The expectations are high, as they have been working on this album for a long 13 years, and we can’t wait to see with what they’ll treat us next!
