The 13th annual Pitchfork Music Festival, organized by Pitchfork music magazine, will take place July 20 to July 22 at Chicago’s Union Park. Now, you would expect for the festival to announce its line-up all at once, like most of the festivals do, but Pitchfork Music Festival took a different approach. The line-up will be revealed in waves, over the next few weeks.

On Tuesday we got the first group of the performers, which include Tame Impala, that will headline the first day of the festival.

Among other performers, the line-up includes Melkbelly, Raphael Saadiq, Julien Baker, Kelly Lee Owens, and Ravyn Lenae.

Interesting thing is that the names of each performer will be painted on an ongoing mural in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. If you happen to pass by it, let us know if some new names appear.

“With 50 individual vendors, as well as specialty record and craft fairs, the festival works to support local businesses while promoting the Chicago arts and food communities as a whole,” – said the organizers in a press release. “We maintain a commitment to keeping ticket prices low, providing new and useful amenities, and working with the city’s best local vendors each year.”
