Music leaks are one of the biggest problems many recording artists face today, and SZA is no exception. The Grammy-winning R&B star recently fired back at people leaking her music and called them thieves who deserve to be held accountable.

SZA opened up about music leaks in a recent post on social media and made it clear how she feels about them.

“Leaking my music is stealing. This is my job. This is my life and my intellectual property. You are a fucking thief and I promise to put maximum energy into holding everyone accountable to the full extent of the law. I am tired,” SZA wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

It’s unclear what prompted SZA to share this post, but she’s currently gearing up for the release of LANA, which she developed as the deluxe version of her latest album SOS. She revealed this project would feature 7-10 songs and said it would be like “a whole another album”.

SOS originally hit the shelves in December 2022 and went on to spend ten non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart. It helped SZA score nine nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards, including album of the year, plus song and record of the year with its smash hit “Kill Bill”.
