Stormzy gave us a couple of pretty amazing singles this year, and it was just a matter of time before he dropped an album that features them all. That moment is now upon us, and his sophomore album finally has a title and release date.
Stormzy’s fans won’t have to wait for long to hear this record in full, as will hit the shelves on December 13. His second studio effort will be titled Heavy Is the Head, and it will feature previously released singles “Vossi Bop,” “Crown,” and “Wiley Flow”.
Cover art for this album shows the British rapper holding the bulletproof Union Jack vest designed by Banksy, which he wore during his set at the Glastonbury Festival this year.
Stormzy recently discussed his performance with Q Magazine and admitted he was heartbroken after it. His in-ear sound monitors stopped working 20 minutes into his show, and he thought things went horribly wrong before re-watching his performance.
“It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I thought it was the worst thing I’d ever done. I came off stage and thought I’d totally, absolutely blown it. I was crying for, like, an hour. I was in hysterics,” Brit-winning artist told Q Magazine.
