Skrillex has been teasing us with new music for the past several weeks and now we know what was that all about. It turns out that the American DJ and producer was busy remixing Kelsey Lu’s 2018’s hit single “Due West.” This marks Skrillex’ first solo release in 2019 and his first remix since Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE.”

Hear Skrillex adding his signature touch to “Due West” below.

This isn’t the first time EDM star got his hands on “Due West,” as he produced the original track that found its place on Lu’s debut album Blood.

Skrillex mainly kept a low profile in 2018, working with Hikaru Utada on a new song that was part of the soundtrack for video game Kingdom Hearts III. He also produced XXXTentacion, Lil Pump, Maluma, and Swae Lee’s joint single “Arms Around You.”

He kicked off 2019 by releasing a new single with Boys Noize, titled “Turn Off the Lights,” as part of their joint side project Dog Blood. This was the duo’s first new material since 2013, and they later revealed that more music is coming in the future.
