Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak surprised us with some amazing new music since joining forces under the moniker Silk Sonic, and their debut album is just around the corner. About a week before its release, they shared a full tracklist and dropped a new single “Smokin’ Out the Window”.
Just like the music videos for the duo’s previous singles, the “Smokin’ Out the Window” visual is as stylish as it gets and it has a strong retro vibe. Mars and Paak are shown performing their latest single on an old school TV set while rocking matching wide lapel tuxedo jackets.
Silk Sonic broke into the scene with their debut single “Leave the Door Open” which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was followed by “Skate” at number 14 and we’re excited to see how well “Smokin’ Out the Window” will do once it enters the chart.
All three singles are expected to be featured on the duo’s debut joint album An Evening with Silk Sonic, which will feature a total of nine songs including a collaboration with Thundercat and Bootsy Collins. The album will be released on November 12th by Aftermath Entertainment and Atlantic Records.
