Sia fans, we have some exciting news for you! This popular Australian singer/songwriter went on Twitter and revealed that she is working on new music and is planning to release a brand new album in 2019. But wait, there is more. The 43-year-old singer will also present a full-feature musical she wrote and directed.
Twitter user @singformybardi recently reached out to Sia, asking her for an update about her future plans.
“Please answer me love,” – they wrote. “When are we getting new music (like 2019 or later). “
It didn’t take long for Sia to deliver an exciting response:
“Next year I’m releasing an album and a feature-length musical I wrote and directed.” – she replied. “Lots of fun things to come!”
Sia’s studio release came in 2017, when she presented a holiday-themed album titled “Everyday Is Christmas.” The record, which contained original songs co-written with American producer and songwriter Greg Kurstin, ended up receiving positive reviews and had a strong commercial performance.
While she didn’t release new music in 2018 on her own, that doesn’t mean Sia wasn’t working. She teamed up with British musician Labrinth and American DJ/record producer Diplo, forming a supergroup LSD. They released four songs together.
