Sophie Muller was in charge of directing this video, and she used nothing but an iPhone 11 to shoot it. The final product is a truly amazing black and white visual that shows Gomez becoming more and more comfortable being on her own.
This simple, but impactful video perfectly captures the message of the song, which sees the singer reflecting on the way she found a path towards self-love after the fallout of a toxic relationship. Selena Gomez said she wants people to find hope through this song, and to realize that they can become a stronger and a better version of themselves after dealing with hardships.
“Lose You to Love Me” will be featured on her upcoming third studio album, which serves as a follow-up to her 2015 record Revival.
