Paul McCartney concert-goers were treated to a rare sight on the last night of McCartney’s US Freshen Up tour.

“We’ve got a surprise for us, a surprise for you, a surprise for everyone,” McCartney announced to fans at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday. “Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only, Ringo Starr!”

“Ready to rock?” McCartney asked as Starr got behind a drum kit. The former bandmates performed “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” and  “Helter Skelter” much to the crowd’s delight.

The two then hugged it out center stage and exchanged thank you’s.

“Thank you, Paul,” Starr said. “It’s been a thrill for me, and I’ve had a lovely night, and it’s a great show, and I love you, man.” “And I love you, man,” McCartney said, adding Ringo’s catchphrase: “Peace and love, Ringo — forever.”
