The wait for Rihanna’s new album has been so long that even her most passionate fans stopped counting the years, but could we finally get it in 2024? Rihanna dropped some hints about new music in a recent interview and revealed she has “a lot of visual ideas” for her next project.

Rihanna recently sat down for an in-depth conversation with Interview Magazine, and her next album was one of the topics of conversation. She said that her “brain is working backward” on her next album, adding that she’s mostly focusing on “visual ideas” at the moment.

“I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals, and I don’t have the songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key, this time. Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make,” she explained.

Rihanna also said she has a lot of “random ideas, quirky ideas, things that have nothing to do with me at all” and described her next album as somewhat of a rebirth. She’s been dropping hints about new material for quite some time, but we haven’t seen her release a new album since Anti came out in 2016.
