A new posthumous album from Pop Smoke is coming out on July 16th. The project was announced by Victor Victor label via social media on Wednesday.

The announcement contained the release date and video clip that features archival footage of Pop Smoke alongside snippets of his songs. There are no further details available besides the fact that the album will have 17 new songs.

This will be Pop Smoke’s second posthumous record and second album overall. His debut studio effort, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, was released in the summer of 2020 and arrived just several months after his tragic death.

The album was met with critical acclaim while topping the US Billboard 200 charts. It was also recognized with several awards, including the wins at Billboard Music Awards in Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Rap Album categories.

Pop Smoke arrived at the scene with acclaimed 2018’s single “Welcome to the Party,” which was followed up by pair of lauded mixtapes, Meet the Woo and Meet the Woo 2. These happened to be Smoke’s only releases during his lifetime. His label released three EPs—Mood Swings, Enjoy Yourself, and For The Night—as streaming exclusives in late 2020.
