After a four-year-long wait, Pet Shop Boys are finally back! 2024 is shaping up to be their year, and it will mark the release of the synth-pop duo’s fifteenth studio album Nonetheless, which they teased with the first single “Loneliness”.

Nonetheless is Pet Shop Boys’ first studio album since Hotspot in 2020, marking the largest gap between two of their LPs to date. It will hit the shelves on April 26 and feature a total of ten brand-new tracks, including the lead single “Loneliness”.

Its release will be accompanied by a bonus EP Furthermore, featuring new recordings of their classic songs “Heart”, “Being Boring”, “Always on My Mind”, and “It’s a Sin”.

In an official statement announcing this album, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe described it as a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human.

“From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album,” said Pet Shop Boys.

All ten tracks on Nonetheless were produced by James Ford at his East London studio, and Pet Shop Boys described them as the strongest indicators of where they are today.
