It’s been a while since Paramore surprised us with some new music, but they’re finally ready for a comeback! The beloved pop-rock band is getting ready to drop their sixth studio album, and the lead single “This is Why” is coming our way later this month.

This announcement comes shortly after Paramore shared a mysterious schedule on their official website, that sparked rumors they’re working on new music together. It turned out the rumors were true, and their sixth studio album is on the way.

They teased its release by announcing the lead single “This is Why”, set to hit the shelves on September 28. This will be the band’s first single in five years, since the release of their 2017 album After Laughter, and the snippet of the song already emerged on Discord and TikTok.

Hayley Williams is coming back on board as the lead singer, alongside guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro, and she’s promising their new album will sound both nostalgic and fresh at the same time.

“Our output has always been all over the place and with this project, it’s not that different. We’re still in the thick of it but some things have remained consistent from the start,” Williams told Rolling Stone.
