American rockers Meat Puppets have recently presented a new track “Warranty,” which will serve as the first single for their new album Dusty Notes. The curiosity about this album, which is scheduled to drop on March 8th, 2019, is that it will be the first studio release of the band’s original lineup in 24 years.

Hear the band’s new song below.

Meat Puppets were formed in 1980 by brothers Curt and Cris Kirkwood, who provided vocals and played guitar and bass respectively, and drummer Derrick Bostrom. The trio went on to release 10 studio albums before disbanding in 1996. Curt and Cris reunited the band in 2006 with a new drummer and have released four albums through 2014. After Bostrom joined the brothers for a one-off performance in 2017, he decided to come back on board in June 2018.

According to The Rolling Stone, the Meat Puppets recorded Dusty Notes with keyboardist Ron Stabinsky and Curt Kirkwood’s son Elmo, who provided some guitar parts for this “simple, yet engaging” album.

“I can ignore my vocal and listen to the other four guys play. They’re all so good.” – Curt told the magazine.

After the album gets released, Meat Puppets will embark on a tour across North America. The details for the live shows will be announced in the coming weeks.
