Even if you’ve never heard of rising star Ava Max, we’re pretty sure you already know one of her songs. This newcomer topped the charts in over 20 countries with her breakout single “Sweet But Psycho” and her songs are so catchy it’s impossible to get them out of your head.
Max hasn’t been around for long, but she’s already been compared to some of the biggest pop sensations in the world, including Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. People also drew a comparison between Max and Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha and Rita Ora, because they all happen to have Albanian roots.
There’s no need to put this rising star in the box and call her “the next Lady Gaga” since she’s obviously doing her own thing. She already has a unique style and knows exactly what she wants to do with her music from this point on.
The success of “Sweet But Psycho” did take her by surprise, because it rarely happens that a completely unknown artist becomes an overnight sensation. Ava Max is doing everything in her power to seize this moment – her debut album is underway and she already picked the next two singles.
