Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts is one of the most anticipated pop albums of the year, and she just added some more fuel to the fire. The 20-year-old singer shared a cryptic video on social media which seemingly teases the tracklist of her second studio album.
Rodrigo’s recent video was shot from a bird’s eye perspective, and it shows the singer lounging in her cozy bedroom. The video shows her doing chores, unpacking boxes, making her bed, and eventually writing the words “GUTS tracklist” on a vintage blue typewriter.
Rodrigo left a trail of clues in this short video, and her eagle-eyed fans didn’t have any trouble discovering them. They noticed words and phrases scattered all around Rodrigo’s room, hinting at such possible song titles as “Stranger”, “Bad Idea Right”, “Book Club”, “Obsessed!”, “18/19”, and “Hold It Like a Grudge”.
Even before teasing the tracklist in this mysterious video, Rodrigo gave us a taste of things to come with the lead single “Vampire”. Following its release on June 30, this song debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Rodrigo’s third chart-topping single in the US.
Guts will feature a total of 12 tracks, and it will be released on September 8 by Geffen Records. It’s a highly-anticipated follow-up to Rodrigo’s debut album Sour, which produced hit singles “Drivers License”, “Good 4 U”, and “Déjà Vu” and won a Grammy for the best pop vocal album.
