Nirvana fans will soon get another look behind the scenes of the grunge, this time through eyes of the band’s manager Danny Goldberg. Goldberg, who managed Nirvana from 1990 to 1994, is preparing a book Serving the Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain in which he documented his time with the band.

The book, which will be released on April 2nd, will contain Danny Goldberg’s memories of the band and their frontman Kurt Cobain as well as previously unreleased files. Goldberg will also include a handful of interviews with Cobain’s family, friends, and bandmates Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, Serving the Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain will touch on various topics including Cobain’s marriage with Hole frontwoman Courtney Love, the birth of the couple’s daughter, Francis Bean Cobain, and the musician’s struggles with addiction.

“I began to work with Kurt the year before Nevermind was recorded and remained close to him until days before his death,” said Goldberg back in August when the book was first announced. “Media depictions of Kurt typically focus on the tragedy of his death. While it is impossible to ignore the inner demons which tormented him, in researching and writing Serving the Servant I have been more often reminded of Kurt’s brilliance, his sense of humour and his kindness to most of those around him. He was so complex that no two people experienced the same person, but I hope I am able to add another dimension to Kurt’s legacy.”
