Nicki Minaj seems to be done with live performances of her 2012 hit track “Starships”. During an appearance at Miami’s E11EVEN for a New Year’s Eve show, Minaj cut the song short and then told the audience that she doesn’t like it.

In a clip posted on social media, Minaj can be seen going through the first few lines of “Starships” while relying on the crowd to do most of the singing. She then waves her hand to the DJ, telling him to stop the music.

“I don’t perform that song no more, y’all. I don’t like it, what y’all want me to do? Stupid song,” Minaj tells the audience before resuming the show with “Super Bass”.

This isn’t the first time that Minaj expressed her dislike for “Starships.” During an interview in 2020 with Pollstar Live, the rapper said that she straight out “hates” the song. She also mentioned “Anaconda” and “Your Love” as some of her tracks that she wished she never recorded.

“Starships” served as the lead single for Nicki Minaj’s second studio album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It spent 21 weeks in the Top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts while being certified platinum nine times.
