After a lot of anticipation, Niall Horan’s third studio album finally hit the shelves this month, and it was worth the wait. The former One Direction singer climbed to the top of the charts in the UK with The Show, scoring his second No. 1 album as a solo artist in this country.

The Show is Horan’s second chart leader overall and the sixth leader by a former One Direction member, following the success of Zayn’s Mind of Mine (2016), Harry Styles’ eponymous debut album (2017) and Harry’s House (2022), Louis Tomlinson’s Faith in the Future (2022) and Horan’s own Heartbreak Weather (2020).

Horan was head over heels after receiving his certification, and he thanked everyone who listened to his new music.

“Thank you so, so much to everyone all around the world for the love around The Show. It’s been years since I last put an album out and I’m so happy you all had such a great reaction to the new music. I’m incredibly proud of this album and I’m glad that you’re enjoying it too,” wrote Horan on Instagram.

The Show was released via Capitol Records on June 9, and it was preceded by singles “Heaven” and “Meltdown”.
