Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has confirmed that Green Day are working on new music.

It’s been two years since the pop-punk band released their last studio album, Revolution Radio. The album was a big hit and was even praised by some critics as the band’s strongest effort since the iconic American Idiot.

Since then, Billie Joe Armstrong has been working on new music with a band called Foxboro Hot Tubs. The band includes all three original members from Green Day and their album ‘‘Stop Drop And Roll!!!” 10 years ago.

Although the band’s surprise performance last month was a treat, many fans will always be loyal to Green Day and are far more interested in knowing what the band’s plans are when it comes to their primary project.

When one fan reached out to Billie Joe Armstrong on Instagram about whether or not we will be getting a new Green Day album any time soon, he replied directly.

He gave no details but promised: “I’m writing new songs for gd now.”
