“Tough Love” Is the name of the new song that was released recently, as a part of Avicii’s posthumous album “TIM”. The famous Swedish DJ Tim Berglind, or Avicii as the audience knows him, died at the age of 28 last year. Even though he was young, the influence he had on young people and in music, in general, was enormous.
Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir, from Vargas and Lagola, have written and produced this song in a manner of staying true to Avicii’s style and his previous work. They also continue to work on his unfinished album by using nearly complete songs, email conversation and text messages in order to make it as close to his vision as possible. In some of his notes, Avicii had written that it would be cool if a real couple could do it, so to make his idea complete Pontare and his wife Agnes sang the song as a duet.
In the meantime, a biography of Avicii’s life is supposed to be released next year. This news was announced a few days after the one year anniversary of his death. The money from this book will go into Tim Bergling Foundation to help people who are struggling with mental health.
