20 years after releasing their debut album Showbiz, Muse announced the release of a new box set, named Origin of Muse. The box set will be published on December 6.

The box set will include 2xLP reissues of Showbiz and the following album, Origin of Symmetry, released in 2001. In addition, the box will include 9 CDs containing demos, live recordings, and B-sides from the band’s early years. The box will include a total of 113 tracks – 40 of them have never been released.

Also included in the box will be a book containing interviews with the band members, Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard. Apart from the in-depth interviews, the book will also contain original posters, setlists, photographs and contact sheets which are inserted and can be pulled out from the book, as well as original artwork and all CD’s and vinyl.

The band has also published a video of an unboxing of the new box set.
