Mumford & Sons made an epic comeback with their latest album, Delta, and it turns out their new record was worth the wait. The ukulele-loving band continued their crusade to the top of the charts, taking no. 1 spot on Billboard 200.

Delta marks return to form for Mumford & Sons – and their third album to take the top spot on the Billboard chart. The band’s previous records Babel and Wilder Mind did the same, while their debut Sigh No More peaked at number two.

The folk-rock group tried to explore uncharted territory with this ambitious record and play around with different genres along the way.

“This album, for us, is the most varied record we’ve ever done, and there are songs on it where I hear more neo-classical stuff, on the same record as very pop stuff, rock stuff, dance stuff and I think that he’s had the oversight to bring all those things together,” said band member Winston Marshall.

Delta was released on 16 November, with Guiding Light serving as lead single. 230.000 copies have been sold in its first week of release – which just happens to be the record for an alternative rock album in 2018!
