Missy Elliott reached many major milestones throughout her career, but headlining her own tour was never one of them… until now. The hip-hop icon is getting ready to hit the road after announcing her first-ever headlining tour this summer.

Missy Elliott’s first headlining tour was a long time coming, and she felt she was finally ready to do it after making history as the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just last year.

“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts’… Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family!” she said in a statement.

Out Of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience will kick off with a concert in Vancouver, Canada on July 4. She’ll perform everywhere from Los Angeles and Seattle to Brooklyn and Las Vegas before wrapping up the tour on August 22 in Rosemont, Illinois. She’ll be joined by several amazing guests, including her producing partner Timbaland, plus Busta Rhymes and Ciara.
