We’ve been so busy this weekend analyzing each and every frame of “Thank U, Next,” that we’ve ALMOST forgotten another former child star that dropped an epic music video. Miley Cyrus made her comeback with “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” and it marks her return to form.

Cyrus channels her inner-Dolly Parton with this electro-pop anthem, and Mark Ronson is by her side every step of the way. The video captures crazy televised car chase, described as “Miley’s wild ride”. It’s a clear nod to the part of her career when she went off the rails and tried to shed her Disney image.

“Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” also shows the young singer driving through a strip club filled with priests, and passing by screaming fans, kneeling football players and kids playing with bullets. Cyrus is obviously trying to send a powerful message with this video, but her twangy vocals also make it clear this song is a homage to her Nashville roots.

“Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” will appear on Mark Ronson’s upcoming album, and it marks a clear departure from upbeat songs he’s mostly known for.

“I tried doing some other music, whatever I could do not to relive “Uptown Funk,” but the only stuff that started to stick was the stuff that moved me and made me feel melancholy,” explained Ronson.
