Madonna’s First Four Albums Get a Vinyl Re-Release

Millions of copies have been sold over the years and now the first four albums of Madonna will be re-released on crystal clear vinyl. The albums which will see the light of day again are the self-titled debut album Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, and Who’s That Girl: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Madonna was originally released in 1983 and was certified five-times platinum after it sold more than 10 million copies around the world. It contained immediate hits like “Holiday,” “Borderline” and “Lucky Star.” A year later, the queen of pop released Like a Virgin which reached diamond status with hits like “Material Girl,” “Dress You Up” and “Angel.”

The next album was True Blue which was released in 1986 and sold more than 25 million copies around the world with hits like “Papa Don’t Preach,” “Live to Tell” and “Open Your Heart.” Madonna co-wrote and co-produced this album.

The fourth album is the soundtrack of Who’s That Girl a movie she starred in and that contains four of her song. It sold six million copies.
