Madonna was forced to postpone her career-spanning The Celebration Tour due to health problems this summer, but she’s gearing up for her huge comeback. The Queen of Pop rescheduled the North American dates, pushing them from summer to winter.

Madonna was supposed to kick off Celebration Tour last month, but her plans were derailed after she spent several days in ICU with a “serious bacterial infection”. She decided to push the North American leg of her tour to focus on her health after leaving the hospital.

Madonna thanked fans for support in an emotional statement on social media and said she’s looking forward to going back to touring because she doesn’t want to disappoint anyone.

“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support,” she wrote on social media.

She eventually decided to stick to this plan, and the European leg of The Celebration Tour is still expected to kick off with four concerts in London this October. She’ll tour all over Europe this fall, before opening the North American leg in New York City on December 13.
