The former members of One Direction are doing a pretty great job forging their own paths, but fans of the band are dreaming of seeing them back together. According to Louis Tomlinson, that moment will probably come – but not any time soon.
Tomlinson recently discussed a potential One Direction reunion in an interview with ITN News, saying he can see them performing as a band, but probably not in a nearby future.
“I do think it will happen. I’d certainly have something to say about it if it didn’t. I think it’s inevitable. ‘When’ is the big question. That’s something none of us really know the answer to at the moment,” explained Tomlinson.
One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus about a year after Zayn Malik left the group in 2015, in an attempt to start a solo career. His bandmates later followed in his footsteps, and Tomlinson feels they won’t get back together until they establish themselves as solo artists.
