Lou Reed Lyric Book to Be Reprinted With Intros From Laurie Anderson, Martin Scorsese

Faber & Faber has announced a reprinting of I’ll Be Your Mirror: Collected Lyrics, a decade-spanning book of lyrics from the late Lou reed. The collection was out of print and will now be published again with new introductions written by Laurie Anderson, James Atlas, and Marin Scorsese.

The lyrics collection book covers the span of the singer-songwriter’s career, beginning with his time in Velvet Underground, through his solo career and, in the new edition, ending in his final album Lulu, his collaboration with Metallica.

The publisher also announced that 250 copies of the new edition of the book will be hardcover and will include “a facsimile pamphlet” featuring handwritten, unpublished lyrics for Reed’s 1974 song “Sally Can’t Dance.” This edition will be published with “reversed color design printed on high gloss, reflective silver mirror paper, and black cloth slipcase.”

The special hardcover edition will be sold for120 dollars. It is set to be released in a few months.
