Lorde achieved so much over the course of the last few years it’s easy to forget she’s only 22. This young singer is still growing as an artist, and her next album will probably be piano-based since she’s currently learning how to play this instrument.
Lorde’s latest world tour, in support of her sophomore album Melodrama, recently wrapped up, and the two-time Grammy winner is already thinking about its follow-up. Nothing is official just yet, but it seems her next record will mark the beginning of something new.
“I’ve been teaching myself how to play piano, and here and there little bits come out. I think this next one will probably be born out of the piano in my house; me and my friends, keeping it simple. But we’ll see,” revealed the young hit-maker in an email sent to her fans.
Lorde also wrote she’s found herself caught in an overwhelming mix of relief, gratitude, mourning, elation, and exhaustion after the tour which wrapped up on November 17 in Mexico City.
