Another European capital is set to host the Lollapalooza Music Festival in 2019. After setting its roots in Paris and Berlin, this popular annual music festival is coming to Sweden’s capital Stockholm.

Lollapalooza Stockholm is scheduled to have its first edition June 28-29, 2019 at the city’s iconic Gärdet. The festival will be produced by Lollapalooza’s founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell alongside WME, C3 Presents and Live Nation Sweden.

“The historic Gärdet and the iconic festival Lollapalooza are the perfect match. For decades we have been wanting to do a really big festival in Stockholm, and we are very honored and excited to do this together with Charles Attal and his team at C3 Presents,” said Live Nation’s Thomas Johansson in a statement. “Welcome to Stockholm, Lollapalooza!”

According to the press release, Lollapalooza Stockholm will feature four music stages, art exhibitions, culinary selections and much more. The line-up for the festival’s inaugural edition as well as info about tickets will be revealed later in 2018.

“It takes years of research and planning to determine the right cities to host Lollapalooza, and we never take the decision lightly. With its incredible culture, vibrant music scene and beautiful green spaces, Stockholm proved to be an ideal city to add to our growing international family,” said C3 Presents’ Charles Attal in a release.

Created by Perry Farrell in 1991 as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction, Lollapalooza grew to be one of the most recognizable annual music festivals in the world. Since 2010, the festival branched outside the United States with five international editions in Santiago (Chile), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Berlin (Germany) and Paris (France).
