If you hoped for new music from Lewis Capaldi this year, we have some bad news. The “Someone You Loved” singer recently told Daily Star that he won’t be releasing another album in 2020.

Capaldi released his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent back in 2019 to critical acclaim while topping the charts in the UK. The Scottish musician revealed that he was productive since, already having 50 songs in the bag.

“So far we’ve written like 50 songs for it and like three or four of them are good, which is a good ratio I think,” said Capaldi.

However, Capaldi will put off any releases until 2021.

“Hopefully I will release a new song and a new album next year,” he added. “I won’t release another album this year or anything.”

Despite not having original music out this year, Lewis Capaldi did treat his fans with a new release. Back in May, he shared live extended play, titled To Tell The Truth I Can’t Believe We Got This Far. The EP contains stripped-down versions of tracks from his debut release.
