Lana Del Rey explored many different genres throughout her career, and she’s getting ready to dip her toes into country! She teased new music during a recent pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles and revealed she’s taking a creative detour with her upcoming country album Lasso.

Del Rey attended Billboard’s pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles in honor of her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff and revealed what their next album together has in store.

“If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years,” said Del Rey.

This announcement comes shortly after the “Summertime Sadness” singer told her fans she had a “beautiful week” working on new music with Antonoff and Luke Laird. She’s yet to share additional information about Lasso, but we know it will hit the shelves this September.

Lasso will mark the follow-up to last year’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which is in the running for album of the year and best alternative music performance at the Grammys. It debuted at No. 1 in the UK, with Del Rey’s best first-week sales in this country, in addition to hitting No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
