Joker: Folie à Deux is coming our way next month, and Lady Gaga is celebrating its release in style! She announced the soundtrack album Harlequin, which will feature 13 brand-new songs, ranging from original tracks to covers of beloved classics.
Gaga teased the release of Harlequin by sharing the album’s cover on social media, which sees her standing beneath a running shower head while wearing an inflatable red life jacket. The second photo she shared shows an open carton of milk, with the tracklist visible on the side.
Joker: Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips previously confirmed that this film would feature renditions of several classics, such as ”Get Happy”, while the promo clips confirmed the inclusion of “For Once in My Life” and “What the World Needs Now is Love”. Not all of these songs are included on a tracklist, and Gaga described it as a “companion album” and not the soundtrack of Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she plays Harley Quinn.
Harlequin will hit the shelves on September 27, ahead of the film’s release on October 4. Lady Gaga teased it with a series of billboards featuring the number “6.5”, hinting that her long-awaited seventh studio album is still on the way.
