Kid Cudi just signed up for a role in the Bill and Ted reboot.

It’s been a while since Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter starred in the cult classic, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Fans have been repeatedly asking whether a sequel or reboot will happen and last year, their hopes and dreams came true.

Next August, everyone’s favorite time-traveling rock duo will return for the third installment, titled Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Earlier this week, a surprise name joined the cast list. Kid Cudi has officially been confirmed as a member of the Bill & Ted 2k20 team. Details of his character have not yet been revealed but the star shared his involvement over Twitter after Alex Winter shared a link to Deadline’s announcement.

A synopsis of the movie from Deadline reads: “Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends, Bill and Ted, set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, old friends, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends.”

Hopefully, we don’t have to wait until next August to find out which character Kid Cudi will be playing.
