Kid Cudi is getting his own Netflix show.

The rapper will be collaborating with Kenya Barris to create an animated music series based on his upcoming album, Entergalactic. Kid Cudi will act as executive producer and will write and star in the series, which according to The Hollywood Reporter, will tell the story of a young man searching for love.

Sharing an update on the upcoming project via Twitter, Kid Cudi wrote: “Entergalactic will be something you’ve never experienced. I promise it’ll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but it’ll be here before u know it!”

Screenwriter Ian Edelman will also collaborate with Cudi on the project. The pair previously worked together on HBO’s How to Make It In America. It is uncertain whether the show will take a similar format to Thom Yorke’s Anima, the music inspired film which recently landed on Netflix, or whether it will take on an entirely different concept.

Neither the animated series nor the album of the same name have a release date.
