Kendrick Lamar’s studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is a gift that keeps on giving and he just dropped a music video for one of its best songs. The reflective black and white visual for “Count Me Out” is here and it features Hollywood legend Helen Mirren, as the rapper’s therapist.

The duo’s therapist session starts with them discussing Lamar stealing a parking spot from a random woman, but they dig deeper as the video continues. As the screen splits into two halves, Lamar is shown unloading his feelings as the montage rolls and mixes scenes from everyday life with abstract shots addressing such issues from fame and power to frustration and growth.

The video was co-directed by Lamar and pgLang co-founder Dave Free, who’s featured in the video along with Lamar’s partner, Whitney Alford.

“Count Me Out” is one of the songs from the rapper’s latest double album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, which came out back in May to widespread critical acclaim. It was preceded by three singles “N95”, “Silent Hill”, and “Die Hard” and debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart.

Lamar is currently in the running for eight Grammy Awards with the album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, including a historic fourth consecutive nomination for album of the year.
