The Grammy Awards are coming our way on Sunday night, and the Recording Academy is slowly finalizing the impressive list of performers. The legendary folk singer Joni Mitchell, who has ten Grammy Awards under her belt, will perform at the ceremony for the very first time.

Mitchell is coming into this year’s ceremony with one nomination for best folk album with Joni Mitchell at Newport. The surprise performance at Newport was her first in 20 years, and she’s now getting ready for another big “first”, hitting the stage at the Grammy Awards.

Even though Mitchell never performed during the Music’s Biggest Night, she always felt right at home at the Grammys stage. She’s a recipient of nine competitive Grammys, plus a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, which she received in 2022.

Mitchell is joining an impressive lineup of Grammy performers, which includes Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, and Travis Scott. The rock band U2 is also expected to tune in for a special performance from Sphere in Las Vegas.

The 2024 Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4. Trevor Noah will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS, while also being available to stream on Paramount+.
