John Travolta has taken a couple of pretty unusual roles over the years, but his latest is the most unexpected of all. The famous actor took Pitbull’s place in the dance-filled music video for his new song “3 to Tango”.
This song is set to be featured on the rapper’s upcoming album Libertad 547, which still doesn’t have an official release date.
The video shows a man who looks like Pitbull surrounded by a squad of tango and salsa dancers. He’s filmed from the back and we have to wait until the very last moment to find out that we were looking at John Travolta the whole time!
This collaboration took the world by surprise, but we should’ve seen it coming from a mile away. The two became good friends after Mr. Worldwide scored Travolta’s infamous movie Gotti, and Pitbull even managed to convince him to go bald long before this video.
“A good friend, Armando Perez, Pitbull, he lives his life like this. He would send pictures of me, I have all my hair, and he’d superimpose no hair and say, ‘I prefer this,’ so I thought … Maybe it’s time to do it,” John Travolta joked in an interview with Extra TV.
