Fans of Janet Jackson spent decades waiting for her Las Vegas residency, and they’re finally getting what they asked for. The five-time Grammy winner is getting ready to launch a show to remember in Sin City this spring.
Jackson’s Las Vegas residency will be called Metamorphosis, and it will chronicle her transformation from a young girl with low self-esteem to the global icon we know and love today. Her first residency will captivate each concert goer with a series of electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts.
Metamorphosis will consist of 15 shows, taking place between May 17 and August 10 at the Park Theater at the Park MGM resort. Jackson’s first Vegas residency carries extremely special meaning to the singer, since it comes in time for the anniversary of an important career milestone.
“The show also features a special 30-year anniversary celebration of her ground-breaking album Rhythm Nation. Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges faced along her personal journey,” reads official statement about Metamorphosis.
