Travis Scott’s collaboration with James Blake is one of the most pleasant surprises – and so is the video for their song “Mile High”. The video perfectly captures the energy of the sweet love song that this unlikely duo released a few weeks ago.

Nabil Elderkin directed this harrowing video, which opens with Blake stirring a cup of tea at the Mile High Café, while sitting across from Scott. After his Get Out-like routine ends up leading to hypnosis, the duo can be seeing descending into a mysterious underworld and floating through a dark abyss.

James Blake previously contributed to Scott’s song “Stop Trying to Be God” and went on to describe him as an exceptionally talented musician. It was just a matter of time before the two joined forces again, and he eventually decided “Mile High” is the perfect track for their next collaboration. The single is part of Blake latest album, Assume Form.

“He basically came in and did it in one take. I found it so impressive how much range he has. He’d just released ‘Astroworld’, which is like banger after banger, and then he comes and does this really vulnerable, sweet love song,” said Blake.
