Jack White appears to be working on new music. The former White Stripes frontman recently shared a reel on Instagram that features a snippet of what seems to be a new track.

The track, accompanied by a background in his signature blue color, is an instrumental and features a weeping guitar sequence dressed in blues. White didn’t share any details about the snippet, leaving the caption part of the post blank.

White hasn’t released any new music since 2022 when he put out a pair of studio albums, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive. The former record saw White stick to rock sound while he ventured into folk in the latter release. Both albums met with positive reviews from critics and made it to the Top 10 on the US Billboard 200 charts.

In late 2022 and early 2023, White kept himself busy with a tour that saw him play a number of shows across North America and Europe. Last year, White also returned to his The White Stripes era by releasing The White Stripes – Live In Las Vegas compilation album. The release featured the band’s performance at Las Vegas venues The Joint and the Hard Rock Casino in 2003 with a bonus track of “Ball and Biscuit” cover by Bob Dylan.
