Iron Maiden is already one of the most exciting bands to see live, and they are now going to turn it up a notch. This legendary British heavy metal band recently announced that they will tour North America in 2019 while promising their “biggest production ever.”
The Legacy of the Beast Tour, which is scheduled to kick off in July 2018, will be inspired by the band’s Legacy of the Beast mobile game, which sees Eddie, Iron Maiden’s mascot, exploring various “Maiden worlds.”
“This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs,” said the band’s lead singer Bruce Dickinson in a statement. “It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date.”
Besides spectacular production, bassist Steve Harris also promised that the setlist for the shows will be consist of both fan favorites like “The Number Of The Beast,” “Fear Of The Dark,” and “Run To The Hills,” and songs that Iron Maiden haven’t played in years including “The Clansman,” “Flight Of Icarus,” and “Sign Of The Cross.”
The 33-dates long The Legacy of the Beast Tour will start in Sunrise on July 18th and will wrap up in San Antonio on September 25th. During the tour, Iron Maiden will visit some cities in which they haven’t played in years including Portland, where they had their last show in 1987.
