If you’re a huge fan of Incubus and can’t wait for them to drop some new material, we’ve got some good and some bad news for you. New music is coming our way, but the band isn’t planning to drop another album any time soon.

The band’s bassist Ben Kenney discussed their plans for the future ahead of the tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their hit album Make Yourself. They dropped five LPs since its release in 1999, but it doesn’t seem like they’ll give us another one in the nearby future.

“We have our own studio now, and we love to record and explore and experiment… But we don’t want to get stacked up in a studio making an album. We have to adapt our process ‘cause the albums themselves don’t actually make as big a splash as they used to,” Kenney told Billboard.

The new album may not be coming our way, but that doesn’t mean Incubus is not working on new material. According to Kenney, they already have four new songs on the way, and they’re looking forward to getting their music into people’s hands in the next few months.
