Lil Nas X started making good on his promise that we’ll get to hear his hit single “Panini” get a bunch of remixes. The first in line to leave his stamp on the song was Cleveland-native rapper DaBaby.
Nas shared DaBaby’s remix of “Panini” on his official YouTube channel alongside an accompanying animated video. The remix quickly became quite popular and was well received by the audience and critics. You can stream it on YouTube or Spotify below.
“Panini” served as a second single from Lil Nas X’s debut EP 7. The song was produced by Take a Daytrip and featured writing contributions from Denzel Baptiste, David Biral, Montero Lamar Hill and Oladipo Omishore. Although the track didn’t match the success of “Old Town Road,” it had a good run on the charts, peaking at No.16 at the US Billboard Hot 100 and reaching No.25 on UK Singles charts.
Although the song was released a couple of weeks ago, Nas is definitely trying to keep it in focus as long as he can. This is why he recently announced that there will be a total of 25 remixes of “Panini” coming in the future. DaBaby’s turned out great, so we are now eager to hear the rest.
