It’s been two years since Halsey shared her last studio album with the world, and it seems she has another one on the way. She teased new music in a recent Instagram post and promises she’ll give us her “deepest wounds” on her fifth studio album.

Halsey dropped hints about new music in a recent photo dump on Instagram, and captioned the series of recent photos by writing, “Not pictured: me splitting myself in two every day so that I can give you my deepest wounds (and a handful of perfect joys) for the 5th time in 10 years.”

This isn’t the first time Halsey revealed she’s working on her fifth studio album. She left Capitol Records and joined Columbia Records earlier this year, and revealed she’s been working on some of her “favorite stuff [she’s] ever conjured” during this shift. She also said that her next album will feature some of her best songwriting and have no strict genre parameters.

Halsey’s latest studio album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power came out in 2021, and produced singles “I Am Not a Woman, I’m a God”, “You Asked for This”, and “Lilith”. Earlier this year, she recorded a remix of “Lilith” with the BTS singer Suga for Diablo IV soundtrack.
